Open House a Rousing Success
On Wednesday evening a group of friends, neighbors, volunteers, board members and well wishers gathered in the recently completed Habitat home of Maria Archuleta Jones to celebrate. A prayer of dedication and thanks was offered, and announcements were made acknowledging the many people who contributed to the project.
The Grand Quilters of Grand County were also on hand to present Maria and her two youngest children with three beautiful hand made quilts. Each one was specifically designed for it’s recipient. So it turns out that while one small group of workers has been working for many months to build the home, another small group of workers has been quietly working to create lasting keepsakes for the family. This spirit of generosity and cooperation is what makes our community such a special place!
We would also like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to the many contractors and businesses that contributed to this project. This is only a partial list of contributors: Maple Street Builders, Fraser Crane, The Roofing Company, Grand Lake Plumbing, Power to the People, Alpine Lumber, Legacy Building Specialties, Granby Ace Hardware, Kopy Kat Printing, Please support these generous merchants!
