Archuleta Jones Home Finished!

We are thrilled to announce that after 16 months of hard work, Maria and her family are residing in their new home. Shortly before Christmas all of the final tasks, all of the touch-ups, all of the inspections were finished. The Certificate of Occupancy was issued, and the Archuleta Jones family was able to spend the holiday in a home of their own!

Here are Maria’s own words:

“Habitat empowered me and gave me the ability to have my own home, It also taught me hard work and humility, and gave me the chance to work together with amazing people who helped me along the way. It’s the gift of a lifetime.”

We are deeply indebted to all of the volunteers, donors, tradesmen, and contractors who made this happen. Building just one home may not sound like a tremendous accomplishment, but it embodies what Habitat for Humanity is all about: providing quality, affordable housing for one family at a time.

We are already well under way in building the second home on our Hot Sulphur Springs property. Stay tuned for more updates!
